CSSGA members along with Colorado regulators and elected officials during a tour of a member’s quarry operation.
The mission of the CSSGA’s Education Outreach Committee is to create a better understanding among the citizens of Colorado regarding the importance of the aggregate mining industry. The Committee will collaborate with other local and national resources, as needed, to achieve this goal.
This Committee was formed in 2014. The Committee has developed multiple presentations highlighting the importance of the aggregate mining industry in Coloradans’ lives – including economic benefits and the effect on everyday life, such as the reclamation process. These presentations are universal and can be presented by both Associate and Producer Member Companies’ employees, while malleable enough to be formatted for specific localities. Members can login to view and download the presentations.
We encourage members to use the resources and handouts available on the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration’s website and Minerals Education Coalition’s website.
