Mission Statement

The mission of the CRMCA & CSSGA Education Outreach Committee is to:

Develop and coordinate education and outreach activities/tools which promote and educate the public on the benefits of aggregate mining and ready mixed concrete industries.

To strengthen collaborative partnerships with communities that benefit from or are influenced by the aggregate mining & ready mixed concrete industries.

And to improve public perception of aggregate mining and ready mixed concrete industries by highlighting the improvements made to Coloradans’ quality of life through the positive relationship between industry and the environment.

The Committee will collaborate with other local and national resources, as needed, to achieve this goal.

Education Outreach Committee Overview

This Committee was formed in 2014. The Committee has developed multiple presentations highlighting the importance of the aggregate mining industry in Coloradans’ lives – including economic benefits and the effect on everyday life, such as the reclamation process. These presentations are universal and can be presented by both Associate and Producer Member Companies’ employees, while malleable enough to be formatted for specific localities. Members can login to view and download the presentations.

We encourage members to use the resources and handouts available on the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration’s website and Minerals Education Coalition’s website.
