August 15, 2014 Land Use & Environmental Committee

 Meeting Overview:

• Division of Reclamation Mining, & Safety Update:  Minerals Program Supervisor, Tony Waldron, stated the Division has a goal to have their e-permitting system up and running by the end of 2014.
• Mined Land Reclamation Board Update:  The July 29 site tour was reviewed. There was good attendance from MLRB members along with the DRMS and DNR representatives.
• New Business:
  • Bob Davidoff, Chief of the Office of Mineral Evaluation, presented on the Division of Minerals Evaluation.
• Old Business:
  • The timeline for the CDPHE COG-500000 has been extended. Western Slope producers will be meeting with the Division on September 4 in Eagle, CO.
  • In an effort to create cohesion and understanding between the state regulatory agencies and the industry the committee plans to invite regulatory members to meetings quarterly. This will begin in 2015.
