On behalf of the Colorado Stone, Sand & Gravel Association we want to congratulate member, Loveland Ready Mix Concrete! The company was recently awarded the 2017 Sentinels of Safety Award. The award is presented by the Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) & sponsored by the National Mining Association (NMA). Loveland Ready Mix Concrete was recognized in the category ‘Small Bank or Pit Group’. This was the first time in 20 years a Colorado mine has been awarded this high honor.
According to HR, Risk Manager, Zach Mitchell: “Brad [Fancher] and I presented our Sand and Gravel crew the award and banner and special Carhartt jackets we had made for each employee, customized with the Sentinels of Safety 2016 Winner patch embroidered on the sleeve, and gave it to them in front of our entire company at the Loveland Ready Mix annual Christmas Party this past Saturday at the Loveland Embassy! It was a cool deal, they were shocked. We had done our best to keep it under wraps for this special surprise presentation.”
Congratulations again to the team’s efforts to promote a culture of safety!!
