CRMCA and CSSGA are pleased to announce Martin Marietta’s Adam John Holliday as the recipient of the 2021 ConRock Colorado cover photo contest for his submission of the One Platte project!
“Currently in the final stages of construction, the One Platte development is slated to open in the first quarter of 2022. This five-story structure will function as a premier office development with over 250,000 square-feet of offices, retail spaces, restaurants, underground parking and a rooftop deck with unapparelled views of the Denver skyline.
Eleven different concrete mixes were supplied for this project. These carefully engineered and tested designs allowed for the safe, efficient construction of various elements of the structure. In total, over 25,000 cubic yards of concrete went into the construction of One Platte. The floorplate alone measures over 60,000 square feet, which is the new record for the largest in the Lower Downtown and Central Platte Valley regions of Denver.
All the more impressive, the environmental impact of each cubic yard of concrete can be tracked through the environmental product declarations (EPDs) provided by Martin Marietta. In essence, an EPD traces the ‘cradle to gate’ life cycle of the material through extraction, manufacture and transportation.
The EPDs are just one of the many elements of environmental stewardship considered for this project. One Platte will achieve an LEED® Gold rating along with a WELL certification. These awards highlight the efforts dedicated towards the structure’s green design, sustainable construction and ability to better serve future generations.”
We received excellent submissions in 2021 and look forward to highlighting all submissions and the winning photo in the upcoming ConRock Colorado magazine due out this November!
