This webinar is a short version of the process of making Concrete sand from rock.
With natural sand & gravel deposits being exhausted the demand for good quality and high specification manufactured sand is on the rise worldwide. Washed sand for concrete, Asphalt Sand, Slurry Seal Coat and Roofing Granules all demand high prices and are in short supply. This presentation is a comprehensive evaluation of the process of making sand from rock. This is an unbiased view of the many types of equipment that can be used to make sand from rock. The equipment that will be evaluated includes Rod Mills, Sand Roll Crushers, VSI (Rock on Rock), VSI (Shoe and Anvil), Cone Crushers, Gyradisc Crushers, and Sand Cones, And High-Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR) Crushers.
Product quality including gradations, specifications, particle shape, FM, classification and recovery will be presented. A comparison of the operating cost and efficiency of the different crusher types will be included. Flow diagrams of some successful mass flow balanced aggregate plants will be shown.
