As January comes to an end, we continue to monitor legislation that impacts industry during our weekly Legislative Subcommittee meetings. The momentum has picked up since the beginning of the 2014 Session. During the January 15 Legislative Breakfast, the Legislative Subcommittee presented a review of a few key bills that have the potential to impact industry – check out their presentation.
The Joint Governmental Affairs Committee was pleased to have CDOT’s Legislative Liason, Kurtis Morrison, speak at our January Legislative Breakfast. Morrison gave an excellent preview of what to expect regarding transportation funding in 2014. He is a great ally and resource for the aggregate construction industry and we look forward to working with him and our lobbyist Totsy Rees throughout the 2014 Legislative Session.
