CSSGA Members in attendance at the 2014 and 2015 Annual Conferences.

Hello CSSGA members. November has arrived, which means we’re almost done with all the campaign ads.  That’s the good news.  The bad news is that name calling, mudslinging and the personal insults will likely continue after the election.  What would Washington be without that?

On a better note, the CSSGA Annual Conference is scheduled for this month.  This year’s event will take place at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs on November 17 & 18.  There are many qualified presenters and interesting topics at this year’s event! These include:

Please view the conference agenda for details on speakers’ schedules. Register by November 11!

Other updates are as follows:

  • We continue to work with our CCIC Partners (CCA, CAPA, & CRMCA) to find creative ways to fund Infrastructure improvements across Colorado.  Based on the success of our November meeting with Governor Hickenlooper, we are discussing potential options, in order to move forward after the election.  As mentioned last month, this will be an important message during the upcoming Legislative session.
  • Lastly, the CDPHE General Water Permit for Sand & Gravel Mines has been released.  CDPHE leadership attended the CSSGA October Land Use & Environment meeting to explain major changes in the process, and were available for specific questions.  They also plan to hold several meetings in January 2017 that will cover major points in detail.  Once these dates and locations are finalized, information will be sent out to CSSGA members.

Please contact myself or Annelise if there is anything we can do to assist your business.  Thanks and I look forward to seeing many of you in Colorado Springs later this month!
