 Meeting Overview:

• Division of Reclamation Mining, & Safety Update: 
  • Minerals Program Supervisor, Tony Waldron, announced the Division’s hiring of many new specialists. The DRMS will be circulating the new names of the specialists to the CSSGA membership.
• Mined Land Reclamation Board Update: The MLRB is scheduled to tour member company mine sites in the Denver Metro area on July 29. A Task Force to handle the tour has been compiled.
• New Business:
  • Task for MLRB Tour: David Bieber, David Hagerman, David Jordan, Johnie Abad (DNR), Tony Waldron
  • The committee reviewed the latest updates to the COG-500000 permit renewal. Annelise Shepherd will follow-up with an email on specifics.
• Old Business:
  • The CSSGA is involved with a coalition of other trade associations to combat the EPA’s broad overreach on the Waters of U.S. The Association will continue to keep the membership informed of the latest news.
