The Colorado Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (CSSGA) is pleased to announce our scholarship program for the 2014-2015 academic year. The leadership of CSSGA believes it is very important to support post-secondary education students pursuing degrees in the aggregate, construction management, or mining industries.
CSSGA is offering a scholarship of $1,000 for one academic year, payable in two installments of $500 per semester.
Below are the eligibility requirements for applicants:
Applicant must attend a post secondary institution of higher education within the State of Colorado as a full time student with a minimum of 12 hours each semester.
Applicant must be either a Junior or Senior in the upcoming academic school year.
Applicant must have an emphasis or major in a mining, aggregate, or construction industry related field.
Applicant must be a student in good standing and a transcript must be provided with the application (cumulative GPA 3.0 or above).
Applicant must be related to an employee of a CSSGA Producer or Associate Member company. Or the applicant may be a part-time seasonal employee of a CSSGA Producer or Associate Member company.
The successful applicant will be asked to attend a CSSGA Board meeting for acceptance of the scholarship.
The CSSGA Board of Directors will select the 2014–2015 Scholarship Finalist in May. The scholarship finalist will then be asked to attend a subsequent Board Meeting to formally receive recognition of the scholarship.
