August 2022 Board President’s Update
July is now a memory, and we are on to August. There have been many changes at the office for CSSGA and CRMCA. Emma Dolan has fully transitioned into the position that Annelise held and CSSGA hasn’t missed a beat. Nicole Aganon has been hired at the new Association Administrator and will be working for both CRMCA and ACPA CO/WY Chapter. We are a small office so we will all come to know Nicole as she learns about our associations. Learn more about Nicole.
Here a quick look at what’s been happening. Please pay attention to the Annual Conference dates as they have been moved this year due to availability at the Broadmoor.
- Governmental Affairs
- Rock PAC Contributions: Also, as this is an election year, we must be active regarding the candidates and the upcoming elections. Companies and individuals can contribute up the $550 towards the PAC, which enables us to support candidates that support our industry. Members are also encouraged to be part of the process by helping us decide on which candidates to support. PAC checks are due August 15th.
- Land Use & Environmental: Planning an industry roundtable in October. Ongoing discussions about air permitting and EPA regulation.
- Recent Events:
Summer Conference was held in Steamboat Springs on July 21-22, and was a huge success. Thanks to all our sponsors and participants.
- Upcoming Events:
- We are working on planning an industry tour again. We will invite legislators to tour member operations and host a presentation. More details to come.
- The Annual Conference will take place December 6 – 7 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Look for details and registration this fall.
