CSSGA President’s Blog – October 2022

Fall is here and with it brings a push in construction. CSSGA is also busy hosting our 2022 Industry Tour, preparing for our Annual Conference and continuing our work through committees.

This year Albert Frei and Sons will be hosting the 2022 Industry Tour at their facility on October 4^th. The tour gives CSSGA an opportunity to introduce our industry to legislators and regulators in the state and talk about how we can best work together to provide construction aggregates that are vital to Colorado.

Fall also brings CSSGA’s Annual Conference. Or maybe I should say winter, for this year’s convention was pushed back to December 6^th & 7^th. It will be held at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and registration is open. We hope you will join us.

Within the committees the groundwork is happening. Our Land Use committee met on September 16th and presented best practices for Ground Water Monitoring plans. The October 21^st meeting will be a Regulatory Roundtable hosting CDPHE, DRMS and DWR.

CSSGA and CRMCA have an upcoming joint Networking event on November 17^th in Ft. Collins at the New Belgium Brewery, and you can RSVP on the website.

CSSGA has also worked with members to help endorse candidates in the upcoming elections. Look for the 2022 Candidate Endorsement list in this eNews.
